Rohan designs, develops and retails some of the UK’s most effective technical outdoor and travel clothing. With a rising number of older, more affluent consumers travelling more frequently both in the UK and overseas, Piper saw an opportunity to expand Rohan from a niche brand into a mainstream brand, and led the MBO of the business.
Piper’s investment enabled the new team to focus on growing its unusually loyal customer base, use research to ensure that the customer lay at the heart of all product development and design, and to build the direct to consumer side of the business.
Having re-established the brand as the leading travel clothing specialist, Piper sold its stake to the incumbent Chairman, who subsequently further grew the Rohan estate and brand franchise.
